Compare the lane

What are you really buying?

The price only makes sense when the support, ownership, and build responsibility are visible.

DIY builder

Lowest entry cost, but the owner carries planning, copy, structure, launch checks, and upkeep.

Typical local agency

Can be a good fit, but compare ownership, edit process, launch SEO tasks, and first-year total.

High-end custom agency

Right for heavier custom builds, brand systems, or larger teams with real custom scope.

Synapse

Posted website lanes first; custom work only when the responsibility actually changes.

What changes the price

Price changes when the responsibility changes.

A website quote gets larger when it needs more custom systems, more content production, more admin control, more integrations, or more hands-on care.

Setup price covers the build.

Strategy, page structure, design, build, mobile polish, launch SEO basics, and the working site that customers can use.

Monthly care covers ongoing ownership.

Hosting, maintenance, support, update handling, and the practical upkeep that keeps the site from becoming another forgotten tool.

Custom work is quoted only when needed.

Booking systems, portals, dashboards, special workflows, inventory-like structures, or heavier integrations move the project out of the standard package lane.

SEO, hosting, and care

Launch cleanly, then keep the site useful.

Every website lane includes the launch basics that make the site readable to customers and search engines. After launch, the support level is chosen in the care path above.

Launch SEO basics

Every package includes the technical basics that make the site readable to people and search engines: page titles, descriptions, headings, clean URLs, structured sections, and a launch-ready public presence.

Deeper local SEO, content strategy, citations, Google Business Profile work, and ongoing optimization can be scoped separately when they are the real bottleneck.

Plain answers

Pricing questions owners usually ask first.

Open only the questions that matter to the current decision. The quote should stay readable before it becomes detailed.

Why do website prices vary so much?

Most website prices are not directly comparable. Page count, copy help, named launch SEO tasks, integrations, support, ownership, and monthly care can all change what the quote actually includes.

Is monthly care just hosting?

No. Hosting keeps the site online. A care plan covers hosting/deployment, SSL, technical upkeep, defined small updates, contact-path checks, launch SEO upkeep, and light support after launch while the managed plan is active.

Who owns the domain and site?

Domains stay client-owned for real production work. Monthly care covers hosting, support, maintenance, and contact-path responsibility where Synapse manages them; it is not a trick to hide ownership. Handoff, source/export, hosting, and future edit responsibility should be written before launch.

What is not included in a standard website package?

Standard packages do not include unlimited rebuilds, ongoing SEO campaigns, ad management, fake ranking guarantees, portals, dashboards, customer logins, owner-managed galleries, upload admin tools, automation, large migrations, or custom software features unless separately quoted.

Is the $500 Basic Page enough for every business?

No. Basic Page is for a narrow launch. If the business needs multiple services, proof, a gallery, booking clarity, a proper about page, or room for local content, Starter Site or Expanded Website is usually the more honest fit.

Can you build around my booking link?

Yes. A normal website can explain the services and send people to the right external booking link or provider page. Native booking systems or custom workflows are quoted separately.

Not sure which lane fits?

Send the business situation. Peter will point you to the smallest useful path.

A current website is optional. Send the website, Google profile, Facebook page, Square page, booking link, or the basics of what the business needs online.
